hmm hey initial game dev project nearly completed. even not fully.
a status widget has been added. and then some gameplay hud designs would be studied now.
it were not that much easy to add screen widget inside the 3d env to brms. Its alike -> first issue were that to figure out how to make widget unvisible when there is obstruction between controller brm and env in the widget of controller.
second to figure out how to do even unvisible controller brm's own widget (since it would instead use hud system) how to do that in unreal multiplayer context were also took many hours.
hmm still hud design study remained. but would be worked to finish in a couple of hours..
hmm then remaining tasks other than that would be ->
- some brw mode refactoring/coding.
- some refactorings/tests. refactoring of musics etc.
its so funny in the aspect that-> i had not given time to study how to code multiplayer in unreal game engine projects (I mean framework wise tutorials of it). and thereby -> I just discover with sometimes forums etc. but the funny thing is I do code a multiplayer project withhout having studied to how to code. e.g. i dont know many things. but somehow figured out some version of without knowing how to code multiplayer. I used a multiplayer module but still i mean its not only that. I only watched Laley's one introduction tutorial but that were very introduction and had not defined framework/design/logic at all.
there were some free books/tutorials on but not know so I could not study the framework design for that. so just some introspections alike coded its multiplayer setup. (and with the basic multiplayer module which i purchased before)
I am confused if i should also add player against computer type modes. currently its full pvp computer game. maybe in future releases.
currently basic game mechanics needs to be completed on today. its slightly different wtr to tank games. its like modified planetary rovers with added turrets etc alike so not alike the usual tank battle games. rather modified planetary rovers. second the texture quality of the game itself is not as good as the popular tank games around. since they have design studios or work with designers they could do that, i can not. my texture qualities etc or shaders are not any comparable to the current popular such genre games. but still its different. since you can modify the planetary rover.
and in future releases dedicated servers would exist so that you can add new mesh/textures/new maps. (battle pass would be added when there could be dedicated servers. currently its a client server based where server is also gamer client alike client server mode)
so in future there would be alike battle passes. and challenges to add new meshes/new textures new turrets. (modification of planetary rovers again) (but that is only possible if game's this version succeeds either) (Since dedicated servers would cost some what and only possible if could invest that.)
so battle pass requires dedicated servers. so such feature does not exist as of now but could be added in future.
if dedicated servers existed then even 100 players battles could also happen imho possibly.
but these could only happen if this version of game succeeds so that dedicated servers could be deployed. without dedicated servers 100 players battle is not possible.
